    The Derivatives Technology supports the management and delivery of technical solutions for Global Fixed Income at Jefferies LLC. The focus of the group is delivering innovative, market-leading technology, which assists the business in providing exceptional service to our clients and developing competitive advantage. The user population spans throughout Trading, Risk, Product Control, and Operations in North America, Europe and Asia.The role is for a business analyst to work with the Derivatives IT team from our NY/NJ office.Our Murex effort supplies critical business functionality for the capital markets process associated with fixed income products. The successful candidate will be working with traders and other business functions to gather and define the business requirements, develop plans, create test cases and be involved with the development and product support tasks. This position will report to the Global Head of the Derivatives Technology team. Qualifications Degree/Major Preferred: Computer Science/Information Systems, Finance or Economics Required Education, Experience, Skills: BS, MS or MBARequired Experience: 5+ years of the following:§ Experience in the capital markets industry or related business in a Murex v3.x environment§ Practical experience in a project role as a Front Office Business AnalystExperience and knowledge with cleared interest rate swaps including pre-trade, execution, booking and events on multiple venues in a multicurrency, multi-curve frameworkKnowledge of products traded as interest rate derivatives and credit derivativesWorking knowledge of commonly-traded products including bond futures, short-term interest rate futures, EFPs, foreign exchange.§ Murex Skills:Ø “Hands-on” configuration, implementation, investigation, troubleshooting and timely remediation of Murex front office technologiesØ Simulation views, LiveBook, e-Tradepad, market data viewer, bond pricingØ Trade query, view P/L and dynamic tablesØ Generator configuration and related static data, setting up market rate sheets, rate curve definitions, rate curve assignments, volatility surface managementØ Pricing template, calculation templateØ VaR modules, CVA, LiveBook, OSPØ Structured Products including primary and secondary issuance§ Experience in development of project documentation, testing materials, and training materials§ Knowledge of financial products (derivatives required), business processes and workflows§ Knowledge of accounting for derivative products§ Strong ability to synthesize and analyze information§ Ability to work in a challenging environment and have the resilience to deal with and influence changes to achieve excellence§ Strong interpersonal/management skills and the ability to adapt style/approach as needed§ Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment§ Ability to work with a distributed team in an agile environment§ Ability to maintain strong and creditable relationship with business and technology partnersDesired Education, Experience, Skills:§ 5+ years of knowledge of Murex v3.x.x with focus on front office§ Experience configuring and running Pricing, Market Data, Curve Structure, Simulations, LiveBook§ PnL generation and PnL explanation§ Experience supporting front office users and addressing production issues§ Knowledge of derivatives trading in a sell-side organization§ Knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS, DLIB, MARS§ Knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking§ Knowledge of Microsoft Project§ Familiarity with standard suite of Microsoft applications: Word, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint
