  • Responsibilities

     

    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for leading the successful launch and integration of assigned projects of various types and complexity levels. This individual must continually strive to maintain consensus on critical cross-functional business issues and report regular status updates as required. This is a senior project management role; the individual must be a self-starter with the vision and passion to get the job done in a fast-moving and sometimes complex environment.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following; other duties may be assigned:

     

    • Coordinates and actively participates in all stages of project development including research, design, development, testing and implementation
    • The PM will clarify the vision and objectives of the business sponsor to ensure that the question “how is this project’s success measured” is answered and agreed to.
    • Oversees projects with various levels of complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing, and equipment including software and hardware
    • Ensures that projects are delivered accurately, on-time and within budget
    • Creates and maintains all project documentation including, but not limited to: project charters, business requirements, project plans, work breakdown structures, issues logs and post-implementation summaries
    • Provides guidance to junior level project managers or departmental initiative leaders as assigned required
    • Assist in the development or enhancement of best fit Georgia’s Own Credit Union Project Management Methodology an or Project Prioritization/Governance processes
    • Serves as the key resource for information regarding their assigned projects
    • Interfaces with internal management, partners and vendors as necessary to complete tasks
    • Ensure that all project team members have the information required to successfully complete deliverables
    • Actively participate in or lead if required, all business testing programs with technical resources, quality assurance, Business Units and other departments as needed
    • Work with technical resources to ensure that we leverage existing technology where possible when building new products
    • Recommend improvements and reengineer processes when necessary
    • Document all project expense approvals based on senior management guidelines
    • Identify and manage ad-hoc projects based on problem trends and new technology
    • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Continues professional development through attendance at meetings, professional seminars and conferences

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Four year college degree required
    • Five or more years of project management experience
    • Five or more years of financial services experience preferred
    • E-channel or Digital solutions project management experience
    • Familiar with a variety of project management concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Technical aptitude to understand data formats, data transfers, and data processing to help support technical integration processes and problem resolution
    • Excellent time management, relationship building and verbal/written communication skills
    • Analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and solid decision-making skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with aggressive deadlines
    • Ability to provide leadership in cross-functional team environment
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or training
    • Pro-active, self disciplined and self motivated
    • Strong organizational and computer skills (MS Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); skilled in using MS Project is a plus
    • Some travel required

     

    PREFERRED:

    •  PMP Certified or a Masters Degree in Project Management
    • Software development and or Information Technology PM experience
    • Program Management experience

     

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.  All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation.  Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table.  Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 25 lbs.  Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

  • Qualifications

     

    Minimum Education: Associates degree in applied science of graduate of approved school of nursing.

     

    Required Licenses: Registered Nurses 

    Licensed in State of Kentucky or compact state.

     

    BLS certification – American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
