    POSITION TITLE: Sales Manager

    DEPARTMENT: Sales

    ACCOUNTABLE TO: GM

    SUMMARY STATEMENT:

    To lead, manage, and perform all sales related activities, as well as to lead, motivate, and train employees performing these tasks.

    MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

    1. Lead and direct the sales department with integrity and confidence. This will require clear and consistent communication, a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, organization skills, and a willingness to sacrifice for others. This will also include attending and leading weekly/monthly meetings.

    2. Manage all employees under the sales umbrella (Online, Parts, Vehicle, Outside, and Marketing). This will require a basic knowledge of duties being overseen and a willingness to perform those duties when required. This will also include conducting 60-day reviews, informal quarterly assessments, annual performance reviews, and dealing with any other performance issues.

    3. Supervise and implement processes needed for the sale of medium duty parts and vehicles, while constantly finding ways to improve those processes. This will include overseeing the training and evaluation of all processes and procedures. Key processes include customer service, phone sales, online sales, parts lookup, and sourcing, warranty/returns, R&D, vehicle sales, and listings.

    4. Oversee and implement strategies for all sales departments including outside sales, marketing/online sales, phone sales, and vehicle sales. This will include setting and achieving annual revenue goals, with the focus being on consistent sales growth.

    5. Strong emphasis on managing and enhancing relationships with current customers by understanding their needs and helping to solve their problems, while exceeding their expectations. This will include setting price levels, approving credit terms, creating quantity discounts, setting up delivery routes, and other customized solutions.

    6. Maintain a vast and clear understanding of company products, services, and procedures. This will include regular interaction with vendors as well as evaluation, training, and promotion on new products/product lines.

    7. Oversee all marketing tasks. This includes monthly sales flyers, email campaigns, trade shows, and consistent online posts/ads via our website, TPI, HTP, Craigslist, Facebook, eBay, and other online platforms.

    8. Maintain the annual budget for all related departments while seeking to increase profits through sales growth, efficiency gains, and reduction of unnecessary expenses. This will include working closely with the Finance Manager and consistent monitoring of P&L statements.

    9. Uphold the company’s core values while maintaining a safe, positive, and enjoyable work culture for all employees.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Must be 25 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.

    · 3+ years of vehicle or parts sales is required.

    · Medium duty vehicle and diesel parts knowledge is required.

    · Must be proficient with the Microsoft suite, especially Excel spreadsheets.

    · Must be self-motivated, detailed, organized, and a good communicator.
