Child Care - Part-time child care for 3 1/2 year old little boy with ASD to begin ASAP, Mon-Tu-Th from 2pm to 7pm. Daily activities: Meet school bus bringing child home from school in front of apt, play with boy in and out of our 1st floor apt, take him for walks and rides, supervise play at neighborhood public parks, prepare snacks and light evening meal and cleanup kitchen and play areas after. Observe in-home ABA therapy sessions when scheduled during your scheduled work hours. On the suggestion of the therapist, try to incorporate her methods into your interaction and play activities when possible and appropriate. Our boy is nearly toilet trained (occasional accident), knows many words and is getting speech therapy to assist with his speech delay. He counts to 20, knows his colors and is very smart. He loves running, jumping, climbing, building all kinds of things, trains, dinosaurs, certain TV shows, riding the subway, riding in cars, riding in boats and observing all. Little boy is very sweet and affectionate. Additional hours on weekend or switching with other part-time caretaker, who is a nursing university student, may be available from time to time. May be an ideal situation for person with ASD in family experience or student in the field of study.
