    Job Description

    The Electronics or Computer Engineer is responsible for the design and performance of electronic components such as controllers, CPUs and GUIs and the software for use in power generation systems for commercial and military applications. He works closely with international multi-disciplinary project teams to develop and implement the design of high-quality ground-based power supply systems, characterized by high reliability and efficiency, especially for demanding environmental conditions. The Electronics or Computer Engineer translates customer requirements into specifications, designs products, develops software, and supports commissioning and manufacturing. RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):  Derive requirements for electronic systems and software from customer specifications  Develop subsystem, component and interface specifications as well as control concepts and system architectures for gensets and solid-state frequency converters  Develop detailed design solutions, circuit diagrams, and PCB layouts for control boards and GUIs  Program controllers and develop software for the operation of power supply systems  Interface with specialist departments such as Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering  Selection of electronic components, controllers, and CPUs  Execution of development and qualification tests of components and software according to military or other applicable standards  Support FMEA and risk analysis  Perform research to promote design improvements and future generation products  Maintain professional skills and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks  

     


    Key qualifications:

    REQUIREMENTS:  BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required or equivalent industrial experience  Min. 3-5 years of relevant work experience  Experience with electrical design and simulation tools such as Altium Designer, Spice  Experience with embedded SW design  Knowledge of programming languages C, C++  Ideally familiar with design, test, and qualification processes for military products  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, expresses thoughts and ideas in a clear and compelling manner  Ability to plan and prioritize activities, perform multiple overlapping tasks to meet deadlines  Profound knowledge in MS Office  Experience with SAP R3 desired  Ability to travel to domestically and internationally (5% – 10%)  Willingness to work in teams and move toward the best solutions  US Citizenship is required for this position PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to fulfil office workplace requirements. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands, to inspect products. Vision abilities are required to perform this job, including close vision.
