    Summary

    The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to deliver maximum value through standardization of procurement. They must provide leadership, guidance and support on strategic decisions to facilitate efficient and cost-effective procurement execution. The Supply Chain Manager will support continuous improvement initiatives for automation/efficiency and establish Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) for the end-to-end Supply Chain. This individual must be able to communicate professionally, effectively, and appropriately at all levels of the Company as required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Collaborate with cross functional teams in the development and execution of strategies.

    Manage, prioritize & effectively execute and communicate supply chain direct projects with cross functional teams (sourcing, product information, etc.).

    Provide various reporting and analytics as required (i.e. inventory management, forecasting, financial, etc.).

    Facilitate the competitive bid process for all requisitions in accordance with Company policies. Solicit price bids and proposals from qualified suppliers, conduct evaluation of all bids, and recommend suppliers for award, negotiate final prices, establish contracts, place orders, and arrange deliveries according to prescribed deadlines and timetables in conjunction with company savings goals.

    Manage supplier performance to ensure consistent service, high quality and low costs of goods/services.

    Review, analyze and present status and progress updates to Management to ensure projects are on target and within budget.

    Be the “voice of the customer” by capturing all data points needed to successfully define the future demand.

    Analyze current inventories and procedures to increase efficiency of Supply Chain and profitability for the Company.

    Identify new suppliers in collaboration with other Departments.

    Analyze financial, industry and internal forecasts for products and materials and anticipate changes in cost, availability, and suitability of products.

    Resolve issues of prices on purchase orders that differ from prices confirmed by suppliers.

    Perform moderately complex price analysis based on few variables and confer with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.

    Drive initiatives to identify cost savings opportunities and support the organization’s cost reduction objections while maintaining customer satisfaction with quality and delivery performance.

    Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the Supply Chain.

    Experience and Qualifications

    2-3 years of experience of industry experience in Food Service and Supply Chain required.

    Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Comprehensive knowledge of specialized commodities in order to influence customers and suppliers in procurement decision of complex/critical goods and services.

    Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.

    Extensive knowledge of Forecasting metrics reporting and analytical tools / analysis.

    Experience with creating and generating Metrics, Charts, and Dashboards.

    Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

    Results oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.

    Must have analytical skills.

    Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills. Has the ability to set priorities, organize time, demonstrate initiative and work independently.

    Must have the ability to read, understand, interpret and analyze financial and cost management data.

    Physical Demands

    Ability to move throughout an office space and store (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.

    Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

    Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.

    Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.

    Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.

    Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.

    Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.

    Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.

    Ability to travel via automobile, plane or any other form of transportation for long periods of time.
