    Job Description

    Purpose


    The Accountant is a versatile individual critical for completing the activities related to the payables, cash, sales and financial closing functions.




    Outcomes & Responsibilities


    1. Responsible for the efficient maintenance and processing of employee expense reports which include accurately entering expense reports immediately into Great Plains, reviewing expense reports for approriate supporting documentation, and verifying expense reports for proper signature approval authorization.


    2. Keep financial leaders apprised of the current cash balances to facilitate the efficient use of cash by entering cash transactions timely and filing related support daily and working with the sales team to resolve missing wholesale receipts, FET receipts, and overdrawn suitekey sales.

    3. Support the financial reporting process and assist with profitability analysis through inputting sales data into the Company's accounting system, Great Plains, responding to customer inquiries, and producing other ad hoc revenue reports.
    4. Maintain customer confidence and help support suitekey renewal by accurately producing and delivering monthly customer statements with block hours and current customer balance.
    5. Responsible for the timely production and delivery of accurate and reliable financials which includes completing closing activities by the deadline, reconciling flights logs to Astro, coding AMEX fuel transactions and collecting related receipts, reconciling fuel invoices against payments, and filing all closing documents upon completion.
    6. Assist in securing an unqualified audit opinion of the financial statements through completing audit requests for the respective function by the due dates and promptly responding to auditor inquiries.
    7. Keep the Company in good standing with all FET, payroll, and workers' compensation regulations by completing the compliance activities required by the deadlines set forth by the regulatory bodies to include the submission and remittance of FET reports and deposits.
    8. Assist with maintaining good policies and procedures by updating the Finance Manual, as needed.
    9. Provide expert assistance by reviewing internally generated reports for accuracy, reconciling various accounts, and troubleshooting problems as they arise.
    10. Support the Company's key strategic initiatives by responding and preparing ad hoc reports requested by 11. Executives and Board Members and performing other special projects, as needed.
