Job Description

We're looking for a mid-level Rails developer to join our small (but mighty) team!

We're a bootstrapped and profitable business serving the Audio/Visual Industry and we're growing! We're looking for someone who can help us continue to expand our product for our customers by building new features, resolving bugs and improving older areas of our application.

Because we're a small company, you'll also have the opportunity to speak into how we define processes and work going forward. Good ideas come from everywhere and we want someone who wants to contribute to how we work as well as the work itself.

Here are some things we've worked on recently that are good examples of the types of things you might work on:

• Expand our API to add access to new fields, and document the changes
• Integrate our Project Platform with an external service to provide direct exports
• Fix some CSS layout issues on our daily status emails
• Investigate why a cached piece of content isn't properly expired
• Chip away at technical debt by improving the design of a section of existing code

REQUIREMENTS

We're looking for someone that can dive in and help us continue to push our product forward. You should have experience building and testing Rails applications across the entire stack. Because we're a fully remote team, we're accountable to each other in the work we produce - it's essential that you're self motivated and managed, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You should have:

• 3+ YEARS of experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience writing automated tests for Rails apps - RSpec/Jest a bonus
• Proficiency with HTML and CSS
• Proficiency with Javascript/ES6
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to flesh out the details of new features
