Support the local Station Hiring Manager in duties such as job postings, updating HR database and processing employees requests. The Administrative Assistant requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Responsibilities Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with the administration of various aspects of the organizations compensation, benefit, recruitment, new hire orientation, payroll and employee recognition programs Interact with airport authorities, government agencies, airline customers, external organizations and stations employees Serve as primary contact for Airport Credentialing Office and Department of Homeland Security Applications and renewals Maintain accurate records for employees time off, pay rates, shift details, promotions and transfers Coordinate scheduling of all applicants and/or new hire requirements including interviews, badging, fingerprinting, drug testing, criminal background checks, customs seal approval and new hire and recurrent training Perform benefits administration to include communicating benefit information to employees and processing enrollments/changes; works in close contact with HR headquarters to ensure benefits compliance Provide guidance and counseling to leaders and employees with regard to programs, policies and procedures and best practices Assist with employees attendance tracking and corresponding disciplinary action Responsible for ordering uniforms and ensuring distribution Maintain the quarter/year badge & custom reports Perform other duties as required and assigned Qualifications Competencies HR Expertise Ethical Conduct Strategic Thinking Leadership Decision Making Ability to manage conflicts Effective communication; written & verbal Excellent organizational and time management skills Required Education & Experience: Associates Degree/Bachelors Degree in human resources and/or related fields; 3-5 years of human resources/recruiting experience required. Additional Requirements: Possess a valid US drivers license Must pass drug screen and a 10-year FAA background check (employment/criminal) Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills in English Must be able to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high stress situations Internal candidates must have a recommendation from immediate supervisor Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
