The Jewelry QC and Controller is responsible for ensuring that all jewelry products meet established quality standards before distribution. This role involves inspecting finished pieces for craftsmanship, accuracy, durability, and compliance with company and industry standards. The inspector plays a critical role in maintaining brand reputation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect finished jewelry pieces (rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.) for defects, damage, or inconsistencies
Verify accuracy of materials, gemstones, settings, weights, sizes, and engravings against specifications and order details
Ensure gemstones are securely set and free from chips, cracks, or visible flaws
Check metal confirm purity, finish quality, polish, plating, and overall craftsmanship
Maintain detailed inspection records and quality reports
Collaborate with production, design, and repair teams to resolve quality concerns
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety requirements
Handle jewelry with care to prevent damage or loss during inspection
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Jewelry certification or gemology training is a plus)
Proven experience in jewelry inspection, quality control, or jewelry manufacturing
Strong knowledge of jewelry materials, gemstones, settings, and finishes
Excellent attention to detail and strong visual inspection skills
Ability to use basic inspection tools (loupe, calipers, scales)
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and handle delicate items
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Strong knowledge on using computer and Microsoft office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with precious metals (gold, silver, platinum)
Familiarity with diamond grading and gemstone evaluation
Prior experience in luxury or fine jewelry quality control
