  • Responsibilities

    The Group Leader supports the Site Director in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for members. Assist in leading daily age-appropriate activities, reinforcing Club rules, and fostering positive behavior and participation.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Facilitate daily age-appropriate activities as planned with the Site Director.
    • Serve as a positive role model, inspiring members to reach their full potential.
    • Interact with members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
    • Encourage participation in daily programs and activities.
    • Monitor members’ behavior to ensure safety and adherence to Club rules.
    • Report any safety concerns or behavioral issues to the Site Director promptly.
    • Maintain a safe and organized program area for members.
    • Assist with tournaments, hallway supervision, and other Club tasks as needed.
    • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU'LL HAVE

    • Must be at least 17 years old.
    • Ability to pass criminal background screening.
    • Willingness to support behavior management and curriculum delivery.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a positive, customer-friendly approach.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youth, parents, and colleagues.
    • Ability to remain calm and professional in large-group or high-stress situations.
    • Flexible availability to cover all open hours, including school vacation camp programs. Willingness to mentor and help others learn and succeed.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Actively supervise and participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
    • Stand, walk, run, and engage in physical activities for extended periods (6–8 hours).
    • Respond quickly in emergencies to ensure member safety.
    • Lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 25–50 pounds.
    • Perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs.
    • Use general office equipment, including phones, copiers, and computers. Accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
