Job Summary for Teacher/Tutor

One of the key differentiators of Huntington Learning Center is our teachers. Unlike some tutoring organizations, Huntington requires our tutors to be certified teachers. As the “face” of the center you will have direct contact with students, families, and other staff. As a result, the ideal candidate can easily form strong relationships and flex when needed. This role can either be part-time or full-time and reports to the Owner/Center Director.

Hours of Operation include 9:30am-8pm Monday-Thursday and Saturday from 9am-2pm.

Teacher/Tutor requirements and qualifications:

Must have a 4-year degree to qualify (teaching certification/license is preferred)

Enthusiastic, outgoing, and team-oriented personality

Must demonstrate care and compassion towards children

Motivation to take the initiative to ensure that a student’s time at Huntington is memorable

A confident and flexible demeanor

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Additional Details:

We find the students, build the curriculum, and meet with parents so you can teach.

Position pays $19/hr. to $20/hr. DOE.

Ideal candidate is comfortable with ELA and Math up to Middle School level or beyond.

Afternoon/Evening and/or Saturday availability is required since that's when we have students.

Must reside in the state of Arizona for consideration.
