MANAGER OF SUPPLY CHAIN

JIMWAY, INC. is a long-established and successful designer and manufacturer of quality residential and commercial lighting products with 1,800+ SKU portfolio and selling through multi-channels (retail stores, home centers, and E Commerce) is currently seeking a MANAGER OF SUPPLY CHAIN.

This position will lead and manage the organization’s overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, production scheduling, forecasting of supply and demand, and inventory management.   

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Develop and implement product demand, inventory replenishment, and inventory optimization strategies to optimize KPIs:  inventory turns, in stocks, forecast accuracy, fulfillment, customer service levels, etc.
• Manage a team of 5 supply chain and forecasting professionals to execute aforementioned purchasing and inventory strategies for our key customers
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sourcing, Sales & Marketing to improve product lifecycle management, new product launch and promotional activity
• Work with Sales Team and key customers’ supply chain department to understand demand in order to optimize current and future customer order fulfillment
• Coordinate, implement, and continually improve all aspects of computerized scheduling system; balance work load among supply and demand planning
• Manage the overseas purchasing process - consulting with oversea counter-parties regarding supplier terms, production schedule, on-time delivery, etc.; act as liaison between factory and customer to meet the customer’s expectation for on-time shipment and inventory position
• Collaborate with Sales and Warehouse to eliminate excessive or obsolescent inventory and implement scrap disposition procedure to reduce aged inventory

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENT 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Economics, or equivalent professional experience

• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain/ purchasing, forecasting, inventory control and management, replenishment plan and strategy (domestic replenishment, inventory allocation)

• 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring and developing a team of high performing supply chain professionals

• Mandarin Chinese (read/write) is a MUST

• Experience coordinating, implementing, and continually improving computerized scheduling and forecasting system.

• Experience as a Buyer in home improvement or consumer products

• High proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel (demonstrated fluency with function formulas, graph generation, pivot tables, and macros)

• Experience working with Home Centers, “Big Box” retailers, and/or major online retailer platforms a BIG PLUS

• Familiar with Oracle EBS environment a PLUS.
