WAREHOUSE DOCUMENTATION SUPERVISOR

A manufacturer and wholesaler of quality residential and commercial lighting products located in Rancho Dominguez, California is currently seeking a WAREHOUSE DOCUMENTATION SUPERVISOR.

Our ideal candidate must have experience in Warehouse Management and “hands-on” warehouse documentation. You must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong analytic and multi-tasking abilities.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Supervises the warehouse daily documentation flow, back up support to warehouse floor supervisor.
• Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and matching customer requirements.
• Analyze all incoming & outgoing shipment notices, bills of lading, invoices, order details to determine the best available shipping priorities, ship methods, and work assignments.
• Monitors the integrity of all inventory control, physical counts, and cycle counts.
• Analyze shipment logs, review timeliness of scheduled deliveries.
• Order supplies promptly & ensure that office equipment is properly maintained.
• Optimize documentation workflow to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Determine and track the most important warehouse KPIs. Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards. maintaining the department’s policies and procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with warehouse floor supervisor & management team.
• Train, guide, and evaluate new warehouse office staff.
• All warehouse office staff shall report to the Warehouse Documentation Supervisor.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High School degree or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years “hands-on” experience.
• Forklift Operation Certification a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with methods for process re-engineering.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Great organizational, analytical, & attention to detail skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to be a hands-on manager & team player.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of basic four-function math.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
• Proficient in the MS Office programs, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and AS400
• Regular, timely attendance. Must be able to work occasional & physical inventory over time.
• TL/LTL BOL document preparation & UPS/FedEx process machine experience.
• Knowledge of Amazon, Home Depot, Costco program requirements a plus.
