POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a TOOL AND DIE MAKER APPRENTICE to join our 2ND SHIFT team. This individual must have the ability to do on the job training and learn the tool & die trade from various journeyman die makers and journeyman tooling engineers, as well as excel in the classroom as required by Jireh Tool & Die Apprenticeship requirements. This individual is responsible for a variety of tasks and goals. Must have the “desire” and “dedication” to learn the Tool & Die trade correctly to the best of his/her ability.
The starting pay for this position will depends on your work experience. Pay may be further adjusted higher after 90 days and during performance reviews season.
Up to 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO to start) to start. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED equivalency
Licensed Driver in State of Michigan
Mechanically Inclined
Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of ones ability using his/her own drive and the teaching and direction from others.
Candidate must be physically able to perform the expected functions of the apprenticeship program.
Candidate must pass a basic physical and (illegal use) drug screen prior to acceptance into apprenticeship program.
Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and get tasks completed.
Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
Ability to follow directions and recommendations from a variety of individuals.
