About the Role:

Join African Community Services as a Job Coach, where you will empower individuals in the Minneapolis community to achieve their career goals. In this dynamic role, you will provide guidance, support, and resources to help clients navigate their job search and enhance their employability.

Responsibilities:

Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to assess client skills and career aspirations.

Develop personalized job search strategies and action plans for clients.

Assist clients in resume writing, interview preparation, and job application processes.

Facilitate workshops on job readiness, networking, and professional development.

Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities.

Track client progress and provide ongoing support and motivation.

Collaborate with community organizations to enhance service offerings.

Utilize data management systems to document client interactions and outcomes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years experience in job coaching or workforce development.

Strong understanding of employment trends and labor market dynamics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients effectively.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management systems.

Cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations.

Positive attitude and a passion for helping others succeed in their careers.
