  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, storage arrays, backups, and VMware virtualization technologies
    • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers and respond to the technical needs of the business.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
    • Responsible for Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and Intune
    • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
    • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
    • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
    • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and systems performance

    Work with IT Leadership to develop financial plans and budgets based on alignment with technological innovation and industry-standard advancement

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Associate or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
    • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other related fields
    • Strong knowledge of systems and hardware, networking software and protocols
    • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes
    • Experience with VMware, hypervisor servers, storage arrays, wireless access points, and standard data center networking equipment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, DNS, and related applications
    • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
    • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
    • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
    • 4-6 years of network administration, system administration, and virtualization experience
