    Job Description

    We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer who is self-motivated and results-oriented with hands-on experience in automated testing and deploying high quality test automation solutions in an Agile environment. You will work within the team’s SDLC processes to create high quality systems and processes and will collaborate with the team to achieve the best possible results. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving forward our build and QA processes to ensure consistently improving quality and efficiency. A strong candidate will have excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and a proven ability to perform in a matrixed organization.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Define test cases for existing products and new functionality.
    • Create automated tests for existing products – perform manual testing when needed.
    • Implementing and developing automated test practices for web and APIs
    • Coordinate with the Lead Architect and Product Manager to plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.
    • Build test automation suites to support sprint level, regression or end-to-end tests.
    • Reduce the number of bugs before we push the code to production across all platforms.
    • Use the latest technologies in test automation to reduce the amount of time it takes to validate that a new feature or build is acceptable for production.
    • Proactively assist application and frontend engineers in finding, reproducing, and identifying bugs.
    • Assist in identifying root causes for critical bugs and resolution actions.
    • Assist engineers with deploying quality code to production.
    • Devise innovative and cost-effective strategies for finding bugs.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
    • Good knowledge of relevant computing platforms and automated test tools: preferably Coded UI and Selenium
    • Experience defining test cases and test strategies for complex products.
    • 2+ years of test automation experience using Selenium
    • 2+ years of API testing experience
    • Experience with version control tools like Git or SVN
    • Understanding of CI/CD processes, tools, and configuration
    • Good understanding of overall QA methodologies and process
    • Knowledge of: XML, Visual Studio, Rest APIs, TFS
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills
    • Ability to create test plan, execute it and report on it
    • Ability to learn quickly and to adapt to existing tools and technologies
    • SQL or NoSQL database(s)
    • Dedicated to deeply learning product functionality and use cases
