    Job Description

    This is a hybrid role in the Human Resources Department   

     

    BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR 

     

    Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Associate will support the day-to-day administration of a comprehensive suite of benefits programs (including 401k plan, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness, and leave).

    Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

     

    •Respond to benefits inquiries from employees, managers, and other internal departments via e-mail and phone.

    •Assist with enrollment processes.

    •Gather benefit plan documentation and update internal databases.

    •Document processes, maintain data, and organize files.

    •Process leave of absences, determining FMLA eligibility and sending out applicable correspondences regarding the status of employees? LOA requests.

    •Adhere to LOA processes in collaboration with HR Business Partners, outside vendors, and management.

    •Send necessary paperwork to employees, process claims, and track time off due to all LOA programs including but not limited to personal leave, FMLA, and parental...

    • Provide daily benefits administrative support to clients

    • Planning and communication of benefits open enrollment

    • Assist employees with claims and coverage issues

    • Track and process new hire eligibility and status changes

    • Process life event changes and termination of coverage

    • Research and resolve billing discrepancies

    • Create and present benefits comparisons

    • Communicate compliance with benefits related laws such as COBRA, FMLA, and the ACA

     

     

    UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS COORDINATOR

     

    The purpose of the Unemployment Claims Coordinator is to review, process, and respond to unemployment insurance claims for our clients and work-site employees. This role will be directly responsible for ensuring that our unemployment insurance claims program is performing at the highest level, while providing excellent customer service.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT. Develops and maintains basic system and product knowledge, including an understanding of our product offering, and regulatory changes.
    • CLAIMS PROCESSING. Responds to separation information requests, client and employee inquiries on claims status. Ensures that all forms are completed with detailed and accurate information within established time frames to ensure compliance with state agency regulations.
    • RESEARCH. Communicates with clients to discuss separation reasons. Gathers necessary information to respond to state agency requests.
    • CLIENT SERVICE. Provides client support including educating clients and claimants on our unemployment claims process. Responds in a timely manner to internal and external escalations to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and retention. Proactively informs clients of any changes that could impact their business. Provides additional support to the claims team as needed.

     

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Strong judgment and decision making. Able to make decisions independently.
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to deliver complex projects with minimal oversight.
    • Works well with deadlines, strong prioritization skills.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • 2+ years of customer service experience in human resources, banking, food and beverage, or other related industry.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Bi-lingual English/Spanish

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
    • 2 years of experience processing EDD claims
