SUMMARY:

• Originates, pre-qualifies, establishes loan application eligibility, and counsels members applying for 1 st and 2 nd trust deed loans
• Analyzes supporting documents to assess borrower eligibility
• Submits loans for approval coming from all delivery channels through Desktop Underwriter (DU) and presents a well-documented package to the underwriting department
• Maintains a pipeline by preparing and reviewing loan applications

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2 years Client (Client) processing and/or originating experience is required
• Working knowledge of 2014 CFPB compliance guidelines within Section 43 of Regulation Z to include the Ability to Repay Rule, Qualified Mortgage Rule, Higher Priced Mortgage Loans as well as HOEPA Section 32 tolerances
• Working knowledge of Client DU or other automated underwriting systems is necessary
• A mínimum of 2 years sales experience is additionally required

• Ability to handle multiple files in a fast paced environment
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills as well as working knowledge of Conventional Lending (Client/FHLMC)
• Knowledgeable in escrow practices and title regulations
• The ideal candidate will possess effective presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Reliability, flexibility, and adaptability are necessary skills to the continuously changing lending environment and staffing needs of the Real Estate Originations department
• Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Client Desktop Underwriter, All Regs
• Knowledge of Client Mortgage Cadence system, Imagility, Prime Valuations, Symphony and Finale Documents is a plus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and reviews real estate loan applications
• Counsels, pre-qualifies, and originates 1st and 2nd trust deed applications for members via the telephone
• Ensures production orders and flow is in compliance with all regulations Verifies receipt of missing documents, takes action in system of record and scanning/uploading of original items when received
• Prepares and delivers the Loan Disclosure in accordance with all TRID regulations
• Orders and reviews Escrow Settlement Statement and makes adjustments to the Loan Estimate as it relates to Qualified Change of Circumstance
• Monitors the accuracy of Timing and Delivery Regulations for lending purposes
• Ensures compliance by obtaining appropriate signatures and authorization as per TRID regulationsDevelops and presents recommendations to underwriters for approval/denial of loan files
• Effectively analyzes supporting documentation to assess borrower eligibility in order to move forward with loans presenting a high probability of approval
• Coordinates efforts with Quality Assurance and other members of the department to effectively and efficiently order appropriate appraisal documents and accurately charge the member for the service provided
• Ability to consult with borrowers during real estate sales and/or financing process
• Submits loans for approval coming from all delivery channels through Desktop Underwriter (DU) and loan committee
• Locks-in loan rates, prepare and deliver applicable disclosure and assists members with incomplete loan applications
• Provides support to branch employees with questions on 1 st and 2 nd trust deed loan applications
• Assists with phone queue to ensure member service levels are met
