Job Description

EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree or equivalent is required
• 2 years of experience can be substituted for every 1 year of education
• Minimum 1 years of administration experience
• A minimum of 3 years of related indirect lending experience in financial services is required
• Possesses knowledge of the auto industry, loan policy, procedure and underwriting skills and computer lending programs is required
• MUST HAVE A CURRENT DRIVER'S LICENSE IN GOOD STANDING AND CURRENT INFORCE AUTO INSURANCE AS DRIVING IS A REQUIREMENT OF THIS POSITION

DUTIES:

• Effectively evaluates and underwrites inbound indirect auto loan requests that are not decisioned through automatic approval system, while maintaining service level timeframes
• Develops, understands and remains current on all policies and procedures related to indirect lending
• Utilizes sound and prudent judgement in lending decisions; adhering to lending policies, procedures and indirect lending guidelines
• Provides and/or documents rationale behind credit decisions
• Reviews loan files for rate negotiations and exceptions to policy within guidelines
• Provides quality internal and external member service, assists members and provides solutions to their questions
• Builds and maintains professional relationships across all channels of the credit union, including the Consumer Lending Operations, Collections, Contact Center and Branch Network employees. Actively supports the culture and mission of the credit union
• Prioritizes tasks and manages time to achieve the expected monthly loan volume goals
• Assists management with quality control, fair pricing, and other special projects when needed
• Assists the Loan Processors with organizing and reviewing contract packages, documents underwriting changes, and contacts dealerships regarding funding delays
• Maintains manageable delinquency and charge-off ratios acceptable to the credit union policies
