Major Responsibilities: - Perform truck and trailer repair and maintenance, including cab and sheet metal repair, fiberglass repair, welding, suspension repair, and more. - Identify necessary parts for repairs and document them. - Complete truck collision repair services. - Identify warrantable repairs and update repair orders. - Maintain a clean and safe workspace. - Conduct road tests on vehicles when required. - Perform tasks efficiently and with little or no supervision. - Other duties and projects assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: - Minimum 6 years of practical experience in truck and trailer repair or equivalent combination of education and experience. - High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical school is preferred. - Specialized training and experience in the repair and refinish of trucks and trailers is required. - Proficient in using all tools related to the trade, including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools. - Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are necessary. - Must adhere to specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management. - Must be able to work safely following DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies. - Regular attendance is essential. - Willingness to travel and undergo background checks and drug screening as necessary.
