    Admissions Coordinator

    ** What You Will Do :**

    The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for gathering and verifying personal information, insurance benefits, and eligibility. They ensure accurate billing and clinical records by assigning the correct medical record and account number. This role performs any additional duties as assigned.

    Working schedule: This position requires working 4 weekdays from 2:30pm - 11:00pm CT, with rotating weekends. The total weekly hours will be 40.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensuring accurate data entry

    • Providing excellent customer service

    • Gathering complete and accurate personal and financial information from various sources, including patient interviews, physician offices, and in-house departments

    • Obtaining necessary signatures on legal consents and insurance forms

    • Performing pre-certification, credit referral, or deposit collection as required

    • Entering data into computer systems and documenting any incomplete admissions/registrations

    • Notifying patients, family members, physicians, and supervisors of insurance coverage issues and co-payments or deposits needed

    • Reviewing physician's orders for completion and accuracy

    • Completing Medicare Compliance requirements and obtaining ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notice) if necessary

    • Maintaining knowledge of insurance rules and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels

    • Managing multiple computer systems

    • Providing positive customer service and escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor

    • Answering telephone calls and providing assistance to callers according to a pre-established script

    • Completing all shift duties accurately and within designated timeframes

    • Complying with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures

    ** Requirements :**

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, medical office environment, or customer service

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute

    • Familiarity with medical terminology
