    The Manager of Digital Engineering at Safelite leads agile technology teams and focuses on building and running digital experiences (websites and/or mobile apps) for our clients and consumers. As a people-first leader, you will oversee teams responsible for application development, including Software Engineers, Scrum Masters, and System Analysts. Your role involves nurturing the growth of team members in all aspects of the development process. You should have a strong technical background to adopt new technologies, enhance development practices, and ensure the highest software quality and speed to market. As the Manager of Digital Engineering, you need to be familiar with agile practices, continuous development methodologies, automated test-driven development, and integration and architecture solutions. You will also collaborate with IT Senior Management to align product or department direction with our business strategy.

    What you'll do:

    • Lead and engage associates, promote their development, conduct interviews, and manage performance and feedback
    • Collaborate with IT Senior Management to align product and department direction with our business strategy
    • Handle tasks related to design, development, validation, and configuration of IT systems that meet technical specifications and end-user requirements
    • Deliver presentations and workshops to influence project direction and lead teams in solution designs
    • Train, coach, and mentor team members on technical and soft skills
    • Act as a subject matter expert in the product/domain area
    • Determine resource needs based on team workload and project requirements

    What you'll need:

    • 7-10 years of experience
    • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience
    • Experience building and operating applications using Agile/Scrum methodology
    • Experience building and operating applications using modern technologies like microservices and cloud-based platforms
    • Experience in management and supervision, including managing projects and programs
    • Ability to coordinate tasks within a broad framework of general policies or supervisor's expectations
