    Job Description

    NAPA: Join our team and make a difference! We are dedicated to hiring the best people to ensure that the right parts are delivered to the right place at the right time.

    The Role:

    We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Parts Professional who can provide exceptional service to all customers, whether over the phone, in-store, or at a dealer's shop. Your responsibilities will include looking up parts applications, processing orders accurately and efficiently, and assisting customers with technical inquiries. You will also be a resource for advice to other store personnel.

    A Day in the Life:

    • Practice excellent sales techniques, such as greeting customers and demonstrating product knowledge.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by securing the right parts and resolving any issues.
    • Present yourself professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Stay updated on the store's pricing methods and utilize the catalog and POS system efficiently.
    • Support the sales team by processing stock orders and maintaining the store's appearance.
    • Participate in training sessions as required.
    • Complete any other tasks assigned by management.

    What you'll need:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
    • Literacy in recognizing part numbers and line codes for accurate selection and delivery of parts.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well with people in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure calmly.
    • ASE Parts Specialist certification (automotive).
    • Familiarity with the store's service area and ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
    • Flexibility to work retail hours at any store location.

    And if you have this, even better:

    • Experience using TAMS point-of-sale system and cataloging.
    • Ability to process cash, check, and credit card transactions.
    • Good visual recognition of letters and numbers.
    • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
    • Capability to lift and move parts and boxes up to 60 pounds.
    • Able to reach both floor-level and upper shelves as required.
    • Capacity to handle heavy equipment with the aid of moving aids.
