Job Description This position involves a variety of tasks in different ambulatory settings, including primary care, specialty practices, and more. Responsibilities may include assisting healthcare providers with patient care, performing administrative duties, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring patients have the information they need to benefit from our clinical services. You will also be expected to uphold regulatory standards and receive direction and training from our medical providers and professional development team. Experience Required - Minimum one year of recent experience as a medical assistant in a healthcare facility, or documented evidence of completion of a medical office externship. - Experience with tasks such as electrocardiogram (EKG), vital sign measurements, venipuncture, capillary sampling, and administering injections. - Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system is preferred. - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills. - Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service. Education Requirements - High School Diploma or equivalent. License/Certification Requirements - Completion of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NJAC(13:35-6.4) approved certifying body AND current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners. A complete and current listing is available in the Human Resource Department. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
