What You Will Be Doing:
- Learn and stay updated on Visa and MasterCard rules, federal and state regulations, and internal procedures related to chargeback dispute processing. - Handle all aspects of the dispute process in compliance with Visa/MasterCard, federal and state rules, and regulations. - Review, research, and resolve dispute inquiries from cardholders, financial institutions, merchants, and internal departments. Efficient and effective dispute resolution prevents financial loss for FIS and merchants. - Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations when resolving billing errors. - Respond to merchants' phone inquiries regarding disputes. - Escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate resource and follow up with coaching and mentoring to learn the correct solution and expand overall knowledge. - Handle non-posted items, retrieval projects, and authorization chargebacks. - Meet job standards, including quality standards and adherence to schedule. - Perform other related duties as needed.
What You Bring:
- Knowledge of Visa/MasterCard operating rules, federal and state regulations. - Knowledge of processes and procedures related to credit, debit, and prepaid debit dispute processing. - Excellent customer service skills to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Computer navigation and operation skills. - Detail-oriented with good organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. Also, please note that overtime work is an essential function of this position. There may be times when you will be required to work overtime.
