As a Product Owner for Cryptographic Services in the Data Protection domain, you will be responsible for contributing to and delivering on our strategic agenda to drive progress for our customers and business. In this role, you will work with development teams to translate product vision into actionable objectives, provide customer insights to shape products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver well-managed and sustainable features. Your deep knowledge in cybersecurity, software, and systems engineering will be invaluable in improving our cyber capabilities. What you'll do: - Inspire our technology teams by effectively communicating the delivery roadmap and product vision. - Clearly articulate the target audience, benefits, and value of product features across teams. - Use your technical expertise to support engineering teams in delivering valuable solutions. - Utilize your strong background in PKI, encryption algorithms, and data protection products to represent the voice of the customer to the engineering team. - Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design. - Contribute to the development of a comprehensive product backlog, working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Solution Architects. - Prioritize the Product Backlog to achieve maximum business and customer outcomes, considering technical and non-technical aspects as well as cyber and operational risk reduction. - Act as a technical advisor to the product manager, engineering teams, and other stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and actively participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies. - Support teams in resolving impediments and driving performance and innovation through data-driven insights. - Proactively identify opportunities to improve security, resilience, and performance metrics for your product. - Maintain technical and risk credibility within your own team and across our technology organization. Basic Qualifications: - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification. - At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology. - At least 3 years of experience in digital product management. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science. - 3+ years of experience solving cyber technical challenges. - 2+ years of experience in the cryptography domain. - 4+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into products. - 3+ years of experience as a Cyber product owner. - 2+ years of experience in technical writing. - 2+ years of experience in scaled agile product management. - 2+ years of experience with cloud products such as AWS KMS or CloudHSM. - Experience in regulated financial services organizations and/or tech companies. - 2 or more professional certifications (SAFe PM/PO, CISSP, GIAC various, CISM, CCSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Security). Salary and Benefits: - The salary range for this role in New York City (Hybrid On-Site) is $197,400 - $225,300 per year for a Manager, Cyber Technical. - Candidates hired for other locations will be subject to the salary range applicable to that location. - This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives. - Capital One offers a comprehensive and inclusive set of health, financial, and other benefits to support your total well-being.
