Department Summary DISH is working to create a better future for connectivity. We are building the first virtualized, standalone 5G wireless network in the country. This network is free from the limitations of the past and can adapt to meet the diverse needs of our changing world. About the Role DISH Wireless is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Engineering with experience in wireless telecommunications and mobile regulations. In this role, you will oversee engineering, operations, and compliance for key regulatory programs on DISH's mobile network. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers who design and implement solutions for regulatory programs including Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), STIR/SHAKEN (ST/SH), and N11. Experience in other regulatory areas such as E911 and Location-Based Services (LBS) is also desirable. As a strategic member of our team, you will collaborate closely with various business units and report to the Head of Regulated Services for DISH Wireless. Responsibilities: - Manage a team of engineers and data analysts to execute the strategic regulatory plan and ensure compliance. - Build and maintain relationships with vendors and government agencies. - Develop and improve testing standards, process, and procedures. - Communicate and implement FCC requirements while protecting the DISH network. - Support the development of team members through coaching and mentoring. - Foster collaborative relationships with key organizations. - Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and track performance and compliance. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 6 years of relevant regulatory experience (a degree can substitute for experience). - Experience in a telecommunications regulatory setting. - Knowledge of CALEA, N11, WEA, and ST/SH solutions. - Familiarity with 4G and 5G Core and RAN technologies. - Understanding of FCC regulations related to wireless emergency services. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with PSAPs and government agencies. - Strong track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish regulatory roadmaps. - Incident management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience. - Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor employees.
