ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND As an On-Demand TM (Team Member), you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members through our myTime mobile scheduling app. We ask for your active engagement in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you. We will reach out to you throughout the year to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. Failure to respond may result in the termination of your employment. Regular attendance is required, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment. ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT Guest experience is at the heart of what we do at Target. As a Guest Advocate, your role is to provide exceptional service by welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest expectations. You will focus on guest interaction and recovery, both in-store and online. We empower our team members to make shopping effortless and seamless for guests at various touchpoints, such as checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up. Here's what you can expect as a Guest Advocate: - Communicating and interacting with guests to create an inclusive experience - Problem-solving and decision-making to positively impact the guest experience - Adapting to different guest interactions and situations - Promoting and selling various benefits, offerings, and services Your day as a Guest Advocate will involve: - Prioritizing guest service by delivering the service standard - Greeting guests authentically and creating a welcoming experience - Observing and responding to guest needs and preferences - Engaging with guests, asking questions to understand their specific needs - Utilizing your knowledge of products, services, and tools to improve the guest experience - Thanking guests sincerely and expressing our appreciation for choosing Target - Efficiently scanning and bagging items, following food safety standards - Providing fast and accurate service while minimizing wait times - Keeping guests informed about brand launches, store activities, and events - Promoting the benefits of the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process - Familiarizing guests with fulfillment services and the features of the Target App - Assisting with returns and de-escalating any negative situations - Supporting Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests - Maintaining a clean work area and restocking supplies - Prioritizing ethical conduct, safety, and compliance - Supporting guest services such as order pick up and drive-up while adhering to legal requirements - Performing other duties as needed WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You might be a great match if: - Working in a fun and energetic environment excites you - Providing excellent service to guests makes you say, "I LOVE TARGET!" - Interacting with people all day and making things easy for others is something you enjoy - You prefer a dynamic work environment over a monotonous desk job Here are some important skills and expectations: - Effective communication and positive language when interacting with guests - Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members - Attention to detail while handling multiple tasks - Willingness to educate guests and promote products and services - Adaptability to evolving technology needs - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additionally: - Accurate handling of cash transactions and register operations - Safe and efficient movement of merchandise, including lifting up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally - Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Active engagement in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to communication attempts from Target - Maintain at least one shift within 6 months of employment Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Target is committed to providing reasonable accommodations during the application process as required by applicable laws.
