Responsibilities: - Assisting patients with selecting and learning to use home medical equipment as prescribed by healthcare providers - Accurately and efficiently gathering registration and insurance information, and processing payments according to payer requirements - Handling patient information with compliance and confidentiality - Maintaining store inventory, including cycle counts and perpetual inventory checks - Ensuring the needs of patients of all ages and abilities are met - Providing patients with mobility aides, breast pumps, CPAP machines and supplies, compression or braces training, ostomy supplies, urology supplies, wound care supplies, oxygen services, or other medical equipment and supplies - Working either on the medical supply store floor or in a call center environment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Prior experience in customer service, sales, healthcare, or patient care is preferred - Familiarity with durable medical equipment is preferred but not required - Proficient in English, both written and verbal - Ability to learn technical tasks and follow instructions - Comfortable using technology and software applications - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Strong problem-solving ability and professionalism - Able to multi-task and make effective decisions regarding customer service - Independent worker with attention to detail - Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or private insurance billing is preferred - Physically and mentally able to handle a fast-paced environment, potentially being on feet or sitting for extended periods - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Current on all applicable annual competencies - Valid driver's license and clean driving record for positions requiring driving company vehicles Compensation: - $19.91 - $25.87 per hour Schedule: - Part-time, with varying hours between 8 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday Site Description: Mayo Clinic has locations in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; Rochester, Minnesota; and various Midwestern communities.
