The responsibilities of this role include: - Applying aseptic techniques in dressing change and the removal of sutures or staples. - Assisting efficiently and effectively with the application and removal of casts, sutures, clips, pins, or other orthopedic devices or equipment. - Describing orthopedic conditions based on a basic understanding of anatomical structures and their relationship with one another. - Assisting in wound care and dressing changes as directed by a physician. - Providing support to orthopedic physicians and providers, including assistance in the operating room and direct patient care on the units.
