    Job Description

    Job Opportunity: Secretarial Support

    Job Summary: We are seeking individuals to provide secretarial support to our Administration and Counseling Staff.

    Responsibilities and Tasks:

    • Assist with typing, filing, emailing, and faxing student records and communication between parents and Administration.
    • Greet and provide assistance to students in Student Services.
    • Support Administration with various tasks.
    • Assist Counselors with scheduling student meetings, processing course changes, and more.
    • Type, record, and file reports related to counseling activities and the guidance department.
    • Backup support for the Building Secretary, including AESOP and Sub preparation.
    • Provide support to the Main Office.
    • Perform other assigned duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Previous office experience required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Vocational or advanced training in office procedures desirable.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage office responsibilities.
    • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
    • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
    • Ability to develop and maintain record systems.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate and helpful attitude towards people from all backgrounds.

    Salary:

    Please refer to the salary grid on Page 5, Section 1, and Classification, Pages 6 - 7, Section 3 of the Administrative Education Support Professionals (AESPs) contract.

    Work Schedule:

    212 days; 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week
