    About On-Demand

    If you join us as an On-Demand team member, you can work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule will vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those who prefer a personalized work schedule. You won't be included in the weekly schedule, but you'll have the opportunity to pick up shifts that work best for you through our myTime mobile scheduling app.

    • You are required to actively engage by picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you.
    • If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.
    • Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain employment.
    • Your communication and availability when our business needs it most are crucial to your success in this role.

    If you're offered a position as an On-Demand team member, you'll attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, you'll be able to pick up shifts through the myTime mobile scheduling app.

    • Delivering excellent guest service by following our service standard
    • Creating a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
    • Observing and understanding guest needs through body language and verbal cues
    • Engaging with guests, asking questions to better understand their needs
    • Being knowledgeable about products, services, and tools to solve guest issues
    • Thanking guests and making them feel valued
    • Efficiently scanning and bagging items while maintaining food safety standards
    • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
    • Promoting brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Assisting guests with Target RedCard and other offerings
    • Helping guests with fulfillment services and using the Target App
    • Handling returns and resolving issues following Target's policies
    • Providing easy and seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
    • Keeping your work area clean and stocked
    • Promoting ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
    • Supporting guest services like order pick up and drive-up while ensuring compliance with laws
    • Performing other duties based on business needs
