Job Responsibilities - Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. - Support professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care. - Implement the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and follow the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. - Provide leadership through roles like preceptor, mentor, and participation in quality improvement projects. - Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, and resources available. - Possess excellent communication skills, mentoring abilities, and may contribute to committees or projects. - Some employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their role. Qualifications - Student or graduate of an accredited nursing program, or in the process of becoming accredited, as recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA. - If the nursing program was not accredited, at least one year of RN experience in a relevant care setting is required. - Entry-level associate degree registered nurses who started after April 1, 2020, must provide evidence of completing a baccalaureate degree in nursing within five years. - Excellent communication skills and experience working within a team. - Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic medical record systems. - Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. - Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. - Internal applicants should attach their three most recent performance appraisals. License and Certification - Must obtain a current RN license as required by the state. - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, valid for at least 3 months from the start date. Certification can be from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network. - Additional specialty certification as required. Exemption Status - Nonexempt Compensation - Hourly rate: $34.06 - $52.62 Benefits - Eligible for comprehensive benefits Schedule - Full-time position Hours/Pay Period - 60-72 hours per pay period Schedule Details - 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 am - 7:30 pm; 7:00 pm - 7:30 am) Weekend Schedule - Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation International Assignment - Not applicable Site Description - Mayo Clinic is located in various campuses across the United States, including Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; and Rochester, Minnesota.
