In this role, you will have the opportunity to handle field visits, office work, and projects for large commercial properties. With minimal supervision, you'll be able to work independently while also having access to resources for a rewarding career at FM Global.

Initially, you will be assigned limited scope and complexity projects, allowing you to learn and grow. As you gain experience, you will assess risks at larger complex commercial properties and work closely with clients to manage on-site risks.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting hands-on site assessments of physical properties, including roofs

Performing evaluations on site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and product arrangements

Ensuring compliance with FM Global Engineering Standards and communicating recommendations and engineering solutions to clients

Working from a home office and travelling to clients' facilities (overnight travel approximately 30% of the time)

Qualifications:

Based on a candidate’s previous experience, this role can be for either a Consultant Engineer II or SR. Consultant Engineer. Successful Consultant Engineer candidates have the following qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering (various specialties considered!)
• Five plus years of industry experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
• Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision
• Solid technical capability including diverse knowledge of engineering principles
• Ability to work effectively from a home office environment
• Legal authorization to work in the country you are applying to
• Physical ability to lift 25 pounds, climb ladders, balance, and work at heights
• Proficient in MS Office products
• A valid driver’s license

The salary range for this position is $76,200 - $129,400. Final salary offer will vary based on location, education, skills, and experience.
