    About the Position:

    As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you have the flexibility to choose when and how much you want to work. Your schedule will depend on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand TM, you won't be included in the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members using our myTime mobile scheduling app. Active engagement, including picking up shifts and responding to our communication attempts, is required to maintain your employment.

    If you're offered the position, you'll attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you're prepared for your new role. After that, you'll use the myTime app to choose the shifts you want to work.

    About Service & Engagement:

    As a Guest Advocate, your main responsibility is to provide exceptional guest experiences. You'll welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. You'll also promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services to enhance the guest experience and foster loyalty.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

    • Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience and adhering to the service standards
    • Creating a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests and observing their needs and preferences
    • Engaging with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to understand their specific needs
    • Being knowledgeable about the products, services, and tools available in the store to address guest concerns and improve their experience
    • Thanking guests genuinely and informing them about current and upcoming store activities and events
    • Maintaining a clean and clutter-free work area
    • Delivering seamless service to guests utilizing various fulfillment services
    • Working safely and complying with safety policies and procedures

    Additional Expectations:

    • Accurately handling cash register operations and cash transactions
    • Efficiently and safely handling and moving merchandise
    • Having a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintaining regular attendance
    • Active engagement as an On-Demand TM, picking up and working shifts while responding to our communication attempts. Failure to do so may result in termination.
