    As an On-Demand team member, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who want a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand team member, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members using our myTime mobile scheduling app. Regular communication and active engagement are important to succeed in this role. If we don't receive a response to our communication attempts, your employment with Target may be terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months.

    If you are offered a position as an On-Demand team member, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your new role. After that, you can pick up shifts using the myTime mobile scheduling app.

    Guest experience is our priority. We welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations. Our team of advocates focus on guest interaction and recovery, both in-person and digitally. We are knowledgeable about our products and services, and we encourage guests to use them. Our goal is to make shopping effortless and seamless at every touchpoint throughout the store.

    As a Guest Advocate, your responsibilities may include:

    • Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
    • Authentically greeting all guests
    • Observing and understanding guest needs and tailoring your approach accordingly
    • Engaging with guests, asking questions to better understand their specific needs
    • Being knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve the guest experience and solve issues
    • Scanning and bagging items efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards
    • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
    • Informing guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process
    • Providing guidance on fulfillment services, such as enrolling, activating, and using them
    • Showcasing the features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet
    • Handling returns and resolving negative situations according to Target's policies and procedures
    • Assisting with Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry services
    • Maintaining a clean work area and stocking supplies
    • Promoting ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
    • Working safely, identifying and correcting hazards, and complying with safety policies and best practices
    • Supporting order pick up and drive-up services, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
    • Performing other duties as needed for the business
