    Position: Part-Time Nurse (Resource Pool I)

    Schedule: Days, 7pm-7:30am

    Summary:

    The Staff Nurse Resource Pool I provides specialized nursing care based on knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. The Staff Nurse Resource Pool I will be assigned to multiple units/locations based on unit needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and provide nursing care with a focus on family-centered care for individuals or groups of patients within the assigned scope of practice
    • Demonstrate the ability to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages and developmental stages
    • Perform leadership and professional duties
    • Provide patient-centered care
    • Contribute to quality improvement and safety initiatives
    • Participate in the development and education of clinical staff on relevant issues
    • Follow evidence-based practice guidelines
    • Promote collaboration and teamwork among healthcare providers for efficient and high-quality care
    • Conduct systems-based practice duties
    • Utilize informatics and technology effectively
    • May be assigned temporarily to different areas within Akron Children’s Hospital based on patient needs
    • Perform other duties as required

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to a diverse team of staff members
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
    • Experience working with various levels within an organization
    • Preferred experience in healthcare
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical record systems
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtained within 5 years of hire
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
    • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
