    About the Role:

    As an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, you have the flexibility to create your own work schedule. You can work as much or as little as you like, based on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for individuals seeking a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand TM, you will have the opportunity to pick up shifts that align with your schedule, as posted by leaders or other team members in our myTime mobile scheduling app. We require active engagement from you in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you.

    Regular attendance is essential, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain employment with Target.

    If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and participate in a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your role. Afterwards, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to select and work shifts that suit your availability.

    Guest Advocates at Target play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest service and creating an inclusive guest experience. They welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations both in-store and digitally. As a Guest Advocate, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Communicate and interact with guests to provide an inclusive experience
    • Resolve guest concerns and make decisions to positively impact their experience
    • Adapt to different guest interactions and situations
    • Promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services

    Responsibilities:

    A typical day as a Guest Advocate will include the following:

    • Create a welcoming experience by greeting all guests
    • Engage with guests, asking questions to better understand their needs
    • Be knowledgeable about products and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience
    • Thank guests sincerely and inform them of store activities and events
    • Assist guests with using features and offerings within the Target App
    • Handle guest returns and resolve any negative situations
    • Provide seamless service to guests using Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry services
    • Maintain a clean work area and stock supplies during store hours
    • Work in a safe manner and comply with safety policies and best practices
    • Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up while complying with relevant laws
    • Perform any other duties based on business needs

    Additional Information:

    • Accurately handle cash transactions and operations at the register
    • Efficiently and safely handle and move merchandise, including lifting up to 15 pounds
    • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
    • As an On-Demand TM, actively engage by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts
