Job Responsibilities: - Experienced nurses and new grad nurses are encouraged to apply. - Location: Generose 3E (GE3E), Medical Psychiatry (NTPP). - Patient Care Type: Generose 3 East is a 14-bed adult unit specializing in the care of medically compromised and geriatric patients in a psychiatric setting. The NTPP suite is a separate area that conducts inpatient and outpatient ECT. - Nursing Team Roles: Treatment includes care for medical illnesses, psychotherapy, individual and group therapy, behavior management, and more. - New grad nurses will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program without needing a separate application. - The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. They support professional nursing practice and demonstrate leadership qualities. - This role may require driving a personal vehicle. Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program, recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA. If the program wasn't accredited, one year of RN experience in a relevant setting is required. - Associate degree registered nurses who started on or after April 1, 2020, must provide evidence of completing a baccalaureate degree in nursing within five years from the start date. - One year of RN experience in a relevant setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience working in a team environment, and computer skills are required. - Flexibility in working hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call shifts. - Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. - Current RN license and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required. Compensation and Benefits: - Nonexempt employment status. - Hourly compensation range: $37.20 - $55.84. - Eligible for benefits. - Full-time schedule with 40-72 hours per pay period. - Variable schedule including day/evening/night shifts and 8 and/or 12-hour shifts.
