Responsibilities - As a licensed practical nurse (LPN), you will directly care for patients of all ages under the guidance of a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. You will be responsible for providing coverage at all Mayo Clinic Express Care Clinics. - Your role as an LPN involves delivering nursing care to assigned patients, following the direction of a registered nurse or assigned supervisor. You will collect relevant data through observation and effectively communicate with the healthcare team for patient assessment and care planning. Additionally, you will actively participate in meeting the needs of patients and their families, adhering to patient care plans, organizational policies, and relationship-based care principles. Your responsibilities may also include mentoring, instructing, and participating in committees or quality improvement projects. Qualifications - Student or Graduate of a practical nursing school, or have successfully passed the LPN Boards after completing a defined period in a professional nursing program. If graduation occurred more than two years ago, one year of LPN experience in a relevant setting is required. Preference is given to those with ambulatory experience, demonstrated critical thinking skills, autonomy, flexibility, strong communication abilities, multitasking skills, and proficiency in computer use. - License or Certification: Current LPN license based on applicable state requirements. - Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers (BCLS) certification before starting date, with the certificate of completion included in your application. Acceptable providers include American Heart Association or Red Cross. Compensation and Benefits - Hourly wage range: $22.91 - $33.27. - Eligible for benefits. - Part-time schedule: 56 hours per pay period. Schedule Details - Working days: Monday - Friday with extended hours. - Expected to float to other Primary Care sites as needed, including Rochester and Kasson. - May also be expected to provide non-visit care support, which may involve virtual assistance. Weekend Schedule - Every third weekend and 1-2 holidays per year.
