Job Summary: - Inspire and prepare scholars to achieve their dreams and engage in a lifetime of learning. - Develop, maintain, and communicate the service model for custodial services. - Train, supervise, and evaluate custodial employees. - Ensure compliance and accountability for all custodial responsibilities. - Work with the facilities operations management team and industry experts to maintain custodial equipment and maximize efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Design and conduct training for new custodial hires. - Assess and propose equipment needs through capital purchases. - Inform new custodial hires about workplace safety and policies. - Communicate and demonstrate housekeeping standards and methods. - Establish sustainable housekeeping standards. - Collaboratively set goals and assess the performance of custodians. - Inspect and ensure the quality of custodial work. - Research and establish efficient housekeeping methods. - Perform routine performance evaluations. - Coordinate summer cleaning programs and trainings. - Maintain preventive maintenance standards. - Direct special services teams. - Assist in maintaining painting and carpet replacement schedules. - Participate in hiring and interviews. - Organize regular meetings with building engineers for collaboration. - Perform other comparable duties as assigned. Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED. - Skills in planning, designing, and delivering training. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Supervisory, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Minimum of eight years of experience in housekeeping and equipment management. - Minimum of five years of management experience or a combination of education and relevant experience. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to perform all physical activities required of a custodian. - Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights. Licenses/Certifications: - First Class Boilers, with a chief boilers license within three years preferred. - CPO certification within one year preferred. - EPA underground tank certification within one year preferred. Salary: Please refer to the salary grids provided in the Management Personnel I-M agreement (Pages 3 - 4, Section 1). Work Schedule: 225 work year. Job Type: Full-time.
