    Job Description

    We are hiring for an important role in our organization that is focused on early childhood education. We are looking for someone who can inspire and support children and families to achieve their dreams, contribute to their community, and continue learning throughout their lives. Responsibilities of this role include planning, coordinating, and supervising Early Childhood & Family Education programs, School Readiness programs, and Pre-School Screening programs. You will also be responsible for seeking and administering grants and other funding sources for early childhood education. Additionally, you will serve as a central liaison with external agencies in matters of early childhood education and promote communication across different programs in the district. Key areas of focus for this role include strategic leadership, instructional leadership, management skills, interpersonal skills, and professionalism. We are looking for someone who can align their work with our organization's mission and values, develop a shared vision for their area of responsibility, and continuously improve their work. It is important to have a commitment to high expectations for student achievement, culturally competent environments, and diversity. As the leader in this role, you will be responsible for developing and supervising staff, making hiring decisions, and providing ongoing support and feedback. You will also be involved in curriculum development, data analysis, and strategic interventions to improve student learning. It is important to have strong management skills, including budgeting, resource management, and compliance with policies and regulations. Interpersonal skills are crucial in this role, as you will be working with diverse groups of people. Effective communication, conflict resolution, and cultural responsiveness are important skills to have. Professionalism is also valued, including maintaining confidentiality, representing the district in a positive manner, and ongoing professional growth. The minimum requirements for this position include three years of relevant programming experience, three years of supervisory experience, and a license in Early Childhood or Parent and Family Education. Knowledge of early childhood programs and understanding the developmental needs of young children are also necessary. Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative decision-making skills are important. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $107,225 - $127,906, plus benefits.
