About On-Demand: As an On-Demand team member (TM), you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you want. Your schedule will depend on shift availability and store needs. This is an ideal role for those who prefer a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that best fit your availability. You will need to actively engage by picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts to contact you. We will reach out to you throughout the year to confirm your interest and availability for shifts at Target. If we do not receive a response, your employment with Target will be terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term training schedule to ensure you are prepared for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up shifts. About Service & Engagement: As a Guest Advocate, your role is to provide exceptional guest service, both in person and digitally. You will welcome and interact with guests, understand their needs, and offer solutions and assistance. You will also promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services. A typical day as a Guest Advocate includes: - Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience - Greeting guests and quickly identifying their needs through body language and verbal cues - Engaging with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs - Being knowledgeable about the products, services, and offerings in the store to assist guests - Thanking guests for choosing to shop at Target - Scanning and bagging items efficiently and accurately - Informing guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events - Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process - Familiarizing guests with fulfillment services, such as Order Pick Up and Drive Up - Assisting with returns and resolving any guest concerns - Maintaining a clean and organized work area - Ensuring ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times What We Are Looking For: If you enjoy working in a fun and energetic environment, providing exceptional service, and interacting with people, you might be a great fit for the Guest Advocate role at Target.
