Main Responsibilities: - Ensure customer vehicles are well-maintained and safe - Utilize Penske's tools and technology for repairs, including basic diagnostics - Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as tire replacement and rotation, lubrication and replacement of vehicle components, as well as electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles - Learn new skills through our technician training program and hands-on coaching - Complete assigned projects and tasks under the supervision of your manager Location: 1701 Lehigh St., Allentown, PA, 18103 Why Choose Penske: - Competitive starting salary - Shift premiums available - Stable career with opportunities for growth - Excellent benefits package and generous time off - Comprehensive training on a variety of OEM equipment through our Technician Certification Program - Access to advanced vehicle maintenance technology - Flexible locations and schedules to accommodate your needs General Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus - Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) - Valid driver's license - Problem-solving skills and comfort using tools - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors - Basic computer skills - Regular attendance is crucial - Willingness to work the required schedule, at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, pass a background screening, drug screen, and physical examination as required by the Department of Transportation - Potential travel within a close geographic area for training may be necessary Physical Requirements: The associate must be able to remember and understand instructions, see, and communicate effectively. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the job duties, the associate will frequently move, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch and feel, and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50lbs/23kg, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs/45kg may be required.
