    About the On-Demand Team Member Role:

    As an On-Demand Team Member at Target, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand Team Member, you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members through our myTime mobile scheduling app.

    We expect active engagement from you by picking up and working shifts and by responding to our attempts to contact you. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain employment with Target.

    If offered a position as an On-Demand Team Member, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule to prepare for your role. After that, you can pick up the shifts you desire to work through the myTime mobile scheduling app.

    About Small Formats:

    Small Format stores provide a consistent experience for our guests. As a Small Format Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring products are in stock, available, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. This includes cashiering, stocking, presentation, and providing exceptional guest service. You'll have the opportunity to customize each guest's experience and anticipate their needs.

    What You'll Gain:

    • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first culture
    • Experience in retail business fundamentals, including sales trends, pricing and promotion strategies, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement
    • Experience supporting daily/weekly workload to meet business priorities and achieve sales goals

    Key Responsibilities as a Small Format Team Member:

    • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
    • Observe and respond to guest needs, providing assistance and tailoring your approach
    • Engage with guests, asking questions to understand their specific needs
    • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available and solve any guest issues
    • Thank the guest genuinely and make them feel valued
    • Work efficiently to complete your tasks while helping guests with minimal disruption
    • Ensure the sales floor is full, well-organized, and stocked
    • Execute price changes, revisions, and sales plans for all departments
    • Conduct inventory audits and maintain accurate stock levels
    • Support major transitions and maintain cleanliness and organization in the store
    • Accurately process stock and backroom tasks
    • Maintain a culture of safety, ethical conduct, and compliance
    • Support guest services, including cashiering and order pick-up, while complying with relevant laws
    • Perform other duties as needed

    Requirements:

    • Accurate cash handling skills
    • Safely climb up and down ladders
    • Efficiently and safely scan, handle, and move merchandise, including lifting items up to 40 pounds
    • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
    • Active engagement as an On-Demand Team Member, responding to shifts and contact attempts
