    About On-Demand

    As an On-Demand team member (TM), you have the freedom to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is perfect for those who desire a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand TM, you won't be included in the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you, as posted by leaders or other team members on our myTime mobile scheduling app. Your active engagement in picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our communication attempts, is essential to your employment.

    Throughout the year, we will contact you (using the contact information provided) to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. If we don't receive a response, your employment will be administratively terminated. Regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to avoid termination.

    If you are offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and go through a short-term structured training schedule to ensure you are ready for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you desire to work.

    About Service & Engagement

    As a Guest Advocate, you will be an advocate for the guest experience, providing exceptional service and exceeding guest expectations. You will interact with guests in various areas of the store, offering assistance and promoting our services and offerings. Your role is vital in creating an inclusive and enjoyable shopping experience for all guests.

    As a Guest Advocate, your responsibilities may include:

    • Delivering excellent guest service and maintaining a welcoming environment
    • Observing and responding to guests' needs and providing personalized assistance
    • Being knowledgeable about the products, services, and features available in the store
    • Thanking guests for choosing Target and promoting special offers
    • Efficiently scanning and bagging items, ensuring food safety standards
    • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
    • Informing guests about upcoming events and promotions
    • Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests in the application process
    • Familiarizing guests with Wallet and other features of the Target App
    • Handling returns and resolving guest concerns
    • Providing seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
    • Maintaining a clean work area and complying with safety and compliance guidelines
    • Supporting services such as order pick up and drive-up while complying with laws and regulations
    • Other duties as assigned based on business needs
