Job Description: As a Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, integrating, testing, delivering, and supporting automated test sets used for testing electronic hardware. These test sets consist of test software, hardware, racks, cables, and associated drawings. Essential Functions: - Collaborate with a team to design electronic test interfaces and select necessary equipment for testing electronic hardware. - Develop test software using LabVIEW and TestStand to automate the testing process. - Integrate hardware design with software to create fully functional test sets. - Verify and validate the test sets to ensure they meet the defined requirements. - Understand program objectives and product architectures to define and develop test system requirements and solutions. - Lead and mentor other test engineering team members during the design process. - Plan, coordinate, and execute integration and test activities. - Create and execute test plans/procedures and participate in test readiness reviews. - Interface with design and system engineering to implement effective test strategies. - Present and participate in engineering review boards to improve overall quality. - Possess strong communication skills through technical reviews and program status updates. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience (or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience). Related engineering degrees with applicable electronic experience will also be considered. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: - Demonstrated experience developing and integrating test systems using LabVIEW, TestStand, and/or other software languages. - Certification as a LabVIEW and/or TestStand Developer is a plus. - Prior experience with LabVIEW FPGA or VHDL for FPGA. - Proficiency in electronic system design, development, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with National Instruments hardware platforms and electronic test equipment. - Experience in designing and developing electrical circuits, schematics, and layouts is a plus. - Knowledge of RF or electro-optical designs is a plus. - Familiarity with communication systems and protocols such as RS232, 1553, RS422, and Ethernet. - Aerospace/Defense industry experience is preferred. - Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance is a plus.
