    All About On Demand

    As an On-Demand TM (Team Member), you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary based on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand TM, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that best fit your availability. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can access and choose shifts through our myTime mobile scheduling app. Active engagement and responsiveness are essential to maintain your employment with Target.

    In this role, regular attendance is necessary, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to remain employed.

    If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your new role.

    All About Service & Engagement

    As a Guest Advocate, your main responsibility is to provide exceptional service and exceed guest expectations. This includes welcoming and thanking guests, understanding their needs, and assisting them with a variety of services and solutions. You will interact with guests at various areas of the store, such as checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Build an inclusive guest experience by effectively communicating and interacting with guests
    • Resolve guest concerns and enhance their experience through problem-solving and decision-making
    • Adapt to different guest interactions and situations
    • Promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services

    Responsibilities of a Guest Advocate

    As a Guest Advocate, your daily responsibilities may include:

    • Delivering excellent guest service by following the service standard
    • Greeting guests authentically and being attentive to their needs
    • Identifying when guests need assistance and tailoring your approach accordingly
    • Engaging with guests, asking questions, and understanding their specific needs
    • Being knowledgeable about the products, services, and tools available in the store to improve the guest experience
    • Expressing genuine gratitude to guests for choosing to shop at Target
    • Efficiently scanning and bagging items, following food safety standards
    • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and guest service
    • Informing guests about upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Promoting and assisting guests with the Target RedCard application process
    • Guiding guests on utilizing fulfillment services and the Target App features
    • Handling returns and resolving any issues according to Target policies and procedures
    • Providing seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
    • Maintaining a clean work area and stocking supplies when needed
    • Ensuring safety, ethical conduct, and compliance in all tasks
    • Supporting guest services like order pick up and drive-up while adhering to applicable laws
    • Performing other duties based on business needs
